In August 2020, Community Hope Center converted the food pantry into a “Client Choice” model. Each guest is given a shopping list based on the number of people in their household and is able to choose from a variety of fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, and other food staples.

Community Hope Center’s Market is truly a community effort. Some food donations come from individuals who pick up a few extra canned goods while grocery shopping, children who ask for food donations instead of birthday gifts, and church and school food drives. Other donations are received from local grocery stores that give excess meat and produce and organized food drives by various civic organizations. CHC also partners with Operation Food Search, St. Louis Area Food Bank, and Midwest Food Bank for large-volume donations.

In 2018, CHC distributed over $2.4 million in food. This would not be possible without the generosity of our community and the commitment of our volunteers who pick up donations, sort and inspect the food, and stock the market.
Gently used clothing, shoes, coats, toys, linens, books, videos, and household items are also available.
CHC accepts donations of these items on designated days only. Please check the home page of our website or our Facebook page for this information.
